Back in the sixties, The Playboy Casino venues at Manchester and Portsmouth had big roles in London’s casinos. Today, the company has decided to strike back in the capital city, with the appearance of two new buildings.
As we all know, Playboy Entertainment began with the famous magazine, which is still in the market nowadays and has a large share of the market. It became a worldwide brand, and its bunny logo is everywhere to be found on anything, from underwear to coffee mugs. An important icon that still functions nowadays is the Playboy Mansion, where creator Hugh Heffner lives with his group of girls.
The enterprise plans on opening two casinos in London by 2010. Both of them will offer games of roulette and blackjack, as well as waitresses in sexy Playboy bunny outfits. Apart from this, high class restaurants and burger bars will be available, as well as various top dj’s who will be spinning the decks on special occasions.
When it used to work, back in the sixties and seventies, the Playboy casino was a blooming casino which had high-rolling players as customers, until it was suddenly closed down by a police raid in 1981. The casino wasn’t able to recover from this, even though no charges were brought up. Frequent clients included Michael Caine, Seanne Connery and George Best, a football player who coincidentally married a previous Playboy bunny.
